Railroad Protective Liability Insurance

RRP coverage for productions & contractors on or near railways

Eligibility Requirements | Certificates of Insurance

Program Summary
It is common for railroads to require a production or contractor to provide Railroad Protective Liability Insurance (RRPL) for the duration of projects on or near railways.

RRPL is different from a typical insurance policy in that it protects the railroad, not the contractor/production, since only the railroad is the "Named Insured".  RRPL covers the railroad for acts or omissions arising out of the "work" at the "job location".
